Who can visit
Education sessions at this site are only suitable for ages eight and above.
Things to do
Take a tour of our water recycling centre and learn about the process of treating wastewater before it is returned to the River Stour.
You will also see the microorganisms that help clean our water by viewing them with a microscope.
Take part in a practical STEM activity, such as testing the difference between materials that get flushed and the impact they have on the sewer network.
And you can see how the latest technology is being used to protect bathing waters in Bournemouth.
Facilities at the education centre
- Water recycling centre.
- Classroom for up to 45 pupils.
- Equipment for investigations.
- Disabled access (a few areas of the site are not accessible).
- Internet access.
- Toilets.
There is parking at the site, but please try to car share, or arrive by coach or minibus.
Pedestrian access is strictly prohibited to ensure the health and safety of visitors.
